It’s been several months since I’ve written anything on the blog. All is well. In fact, I’ve been simply basking in the glow of a new season.
You see, my life has shifted from the wilderness into a promised land that only God could orchestrate. For me, the promised land manifested as a job in television news. I’ve always dreamed of being a television news anchor. I’ve worked in media a great portion of my career, but what I wanted most was to work in front of the camera as an anchor.
In January 2020, that dream became a reality. I am so very grateful to God for the door that He opened. Traversing the wilderness to get here though was tough! I believe one of the most important lessons I learned during that dry season was to submit to God and allow him to work in and out of me the character that would be necessary to sustain me in the new season.
If you’re in a wilderness season, I can tell you from first hand experience that the longer you fight against the pruning and stripping, the longer you will remain there. And by all means, do not get ahead of God either. Don’t abort the process! You’ll be so grateful that you stayed the course. Soon, you too will have a mighty testimony to share with others. Trust me.
If you’re in a place of discouragement, don’t be. If God can part the Red Sea for me, He can do the same for you!
